Peter is a commercial property law specialist.

Peter has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property law, including buying and selling real estate, retail and office leasing and property finance transactions.  He regularly advises clients on property due diligence investigations and management of substantial commercial property portfolios, and has complementary capabilities in broader corporate and commercial matters.

He also has specific expertise in obtaining consent under the Overseas Investment Act for assets in New Zealand.

Hailing from Wellington, Peter studied at the University of Otago, before finishing his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees at Charles University in Prague and finally the University of Amsterdam. Peter started his career in Wellington and Auckland before heading to London where he worked for a major international firm.

Prior to joining the team at TODD & WALKER Peter spent five years at a top tier firm in Auckland and has been a Senior Associate since 2016.

Outside of work, Peter is most at home in the mountains, on the fishing kayak or spending time with his young family.
